Join the Friends of Emek Shaveh
Emek Shaveh is a group of archaeologists dedicated to the idea that the relics of the past are the heritage of all peoples and religions, and should not be used as weapons in the political struggle taking place in the region, or to justify oppression of the weak. It is essential that Israel's past be properly understood as something complex and multi-faceted, bearing witness to the evolution of many different cultures and ethnic groups. It is through such an understanding that we will accept the rights of others to live here in dignity and equality.
In order to strengthen our activities and enlarge our circle of supporters, we are inviting members of the general public to join us, and to become friends of Emek Shaveh. The Friends of Emek Shaveh are individuals and organizations who identify with our goals and wish to support them, and who would like to receive regular updates and otherwise deepen their involvement in our organization.
As friends of our organization you will be entitled to at least one tour each year of the archaeological sites and other places that are embroiled in the political struggle, and will also be invited to take part in other archaeological activities which may take place from time to time. In addition you will receive regular updates of our activities and other materials.
We at Emek Shaveh regard the Friends organization as partners and we welcome any ideas or suggestions you may have to broaden your involvement in our activities, beginning with the lectures, tours, and other activities.
